This should all be very interesting.

Can i claim the biggest change between the last race and Le Mans? Not only have i left my Felbermayr Porsche and got into a Compuware Corvette, i'm the only driver (as far as i know) to be using an R2 car...

Unfortunately, thanks to Jam's restrictions on my Corvette, my top speed is only around 180 max, which is still less than everyone else in what should, in my completely unbiased opinion, be the fastest GT2 car in a straight line...

I'm now struggling to tune the car by myself, rather than relying on Jonny's Porsche tunes, so i'll see what happens :D
Firstly I have hit at least 182mph, and secondly I disagree, in real life the Ferrari just has the legs on it.

Do the Corvettes and Jaguars have the legs on everything in the corners in real life though? It's a game, and I've done my best to make them equal.

And also in the game the Porsche and Corvette are about equal on the straight...

You will be back for our test weekend then on the 19th :D

And btw I also made a quick setup, mainly for hotlapping and stuff, I don't know what times are good in LMP yet, but I got the Lola around there in 3.15.8 I think it was... Some of the competition really shifts, the Porsche is scarily good through the Porsche curves!

If that's the case looks like I'm not going to be a complete sitting duck on the straits in the Jag it can hit about 182 mph just before I break, not got much down force for the twisty bit though. Only seem able to get a 4:00 lap time out of it(Hot Lap no fuel or tyre wear), I really struggle for traction out of the slow speed corners but got 30 odd days to work on that so should be able to crack it.

I don't think anybody is running any downforce at the moment, so that might help a little, but this race will definitely be really tough for the Jaguar. It's lack of straight line speed will certainly not help at Le Mans!

I am not the best tuner, but for traction out of the slow speed corners in my Ferrari, I softened the rear roll bars by a really big amount, maybe 10.00 or something (It depends how loose your car is!) and that solved the problem and left me with a little bit of understeer in high speed corners so I added about 2psi of front tyre pressure. That is in a nutshell what I did. I revamped the whole car, but those 2 changes where the ones that had the most effect.

Obviously the Jaguar is a very different car though, so it might be different in setup!

Thanks I'll be giving that a go in the next few days, shouldn't need to much of a change in PSI the cars pretty understeery in the high speed corners because of the difference in min downforce for the front and rear.

Yeah I have a very aggressive driving style and so I like my cars to oversteer, which is why I added the 2psi of front tyre pressure.

You'll have company, this is what I'm turning with the Porsche RSR....I don't have much time to practice in the summer (busy at work) so I probably won't improve by much... :ermm:

No, i took it all off when i realised...

Then put some back on the front to achieve my aim of being godlike through the Porsche Curves. I failed.
