Risi Competizione's Fortnight Of Tests!

All of the teams are hard at work for Le Mans, and the old Ferrari team from Houston are no exception. Recently Risi Competizione lost TCR Bamalot, and as the leading Ferrari driver this season this has been a major setback, however VxR Jammy has taken his position, and with the new signing of TfR Wildcat, Risi Competizione have a new pairing that the field eagerly awaits watching spring into action!

The new Risi Competizione Krohn car will be driven by Wildcat and it's striking green livery was properly shown off for the first time at Ferrari's Mugello test track yesturday evening:

The big news is that Risi Competizione have laid a hectic and perhaps un-expected schedule for themselves. Instead of, as most teams will be, staying at La Sarthe over the 2 week break until the big race, both Risi cars will be on a trans-atlantic thrash. Firstly both Jammy and Wildcat will return home to Mugello to update and perfect their chassis' and cosmetics, and then perform an extensive shakedown at the Mugello Full circuit in order to improve the handling that so far this season has proved to be decidedly dodgey. Once this test is complete the cars will fly across the Atlantic to North America in order to concentrate the testing at the Maple Valley circuit - A track reknowned for it's stunning high speed corners...

After this test and with only a week until Le Mans itself, the cars will return to Italy once again, the #62 set to go through a mammoth 6 hour grueling slog around Mugello to fine tune and weed out any potential problems. It is, as of yet, unconfirmed as to whether the #61 car will accompany it's sister machine. After this final shakedown back to Marranello where the cars will be driven out to France in time for scruitineering and the drivers parade in the center of Le Mans.

None of the teams are letting up preparation, and Risi Competizione are just as keen to sort out their car for Le Mans. Fresh in the team's mind is that neither Jammy or Wildcat have completed over 2 hours in a GT2 car this season (Jammy drove for Lola in the opening round, and Wildcat retired late in the first hour of the race).

Ferrari are not going to let a laid back Italian attitude prevent them from achieving success at Le Mans!!

Mugello will form a large part of Risi's test plans.

Maple Valley is internationally known for it's demands on a car.
