I will believe my way to victory.

In LMP Shifty Muslim powered through the field in his Mazda engined Lola to claim a superb maiden win, here is what he had to say about the success:

1. Firstly, how does it feel to win for the first time, and to do it so early in your FLMS career?
It was a fantastic victory and to win by a lap was even better, i think i had the optimum setup and it was proven by my pace despite the mistake in qualifying! And yes it was the first race i had participated in so it makes it more special :)

2. You had trouble at Le Mans, it must be good to bounce back in this way?
Yes i had troubles at Le Mans, i qualified in lobby 1, but the disc decided to pack up the next day, so i couldn't get onto to game. I'm just pleased the disc worked!

3. After this strong performance what do you think the rest of the season holds for yourself?
Well seeing as i joined the FLMS halfway through the season, so a strong haul of points and maybe another race victory would be great :) Just gaining experience is key and hopefully a title challenge next season.

4. There was a lot of trouble with traffic, what was your experience in the race like?
The traffic was pretty easy to negotiate due to the width of the track, i let the slower cars know i was about to lap them and passed them in a place that would not ruin their race either.

In GT2 the usual running order resumed as VxR Polaris claimed his 4th win of the season so far, here is the race from his own mouth:

1. Firstly, how does it feel to be back on top after Le Mans?

It feels good. I always knew that Le Mans would be a tough weekend for Porsche, and it was made even worse by my poor driving all weekend. But this win is a great bounce back, especially when I felt that Ferraris would be strong here. In the end, I think that they just had the edge in pace, as was shown in qualifying, but the race once again proved that keeping out of trouble and being consistent can mean you can still win.

2. You had another huge battle with TCR Bamalot, what was that like?

My battles with Bam are always great and this one was no different. Off the rolling start I expected him to pass me and he did (those pesky Ferraris and their straight line speed) - he was clean through well before we reached turn one. But I remained close throughout the lap and got a run on him through the kink. We were side by side heading down to the next right hander. I had the inside line and made the pass, while Jammy went straight on at the corner (I'm not sure why) and I ended up going from third to first in one corner. The first stint remained close, but I went longer on strategy than Bam and after the opening pit stops I had doubled my lead. From then on, it was about management until he unfortunately retired.

3. After this strong performance you must be starting to think about the championship?

Not really. Obviously I'm now in a strong position, but there are enough races remaining for things to go wrong. If I screw up a qualifying session (which it is not unknown for me to do) or if I get some bad luck and miss a race (me missing Road America last season due to the Red Ring springs to mind) then Jammy and Bam will be right back in it. It's not over yet. I'm not going to become complacent, and it's really important for me that I keep my momentum going into Maple Valley.

4. There was a lot of trouble with traffic, what was your GT2 view of things?

I was fairly comfortable with the traffic mostly. I was a bit unfortunate to be caught in the Carroussel (I don't know how to spell that, sorry :S ) and hammer came a bit too close to hitting me in there, but other than that I didn't have any problems. I feel my driving in traffic has been one of my strengths so far this season, and collisions between my Porsche and the prototypes have been kept to a minimum. I always air on the side of caution (a short term loss can be regained, but if you have an accident, that's your race over and nothing can be regained from that point) and I think it is one of the reasons why I'm in such a strong position in the championship right now.

Not sure what it is or if it's dangerous but I've only done it once and I thought Sesame Street was downstairs.
