The Canon XA25 is ultra-compact, professional camcorder designed for run-and-gun videography and ENG. It can also record 1080/60p video in 35 Mbps MP4 and 28Mbps AVCHD. With such outstanding videos saved on camcorder, filmmakers are eager to import Canon XA25 MTS videos to FCP 7/X for further edting to get thier own masterpiece. However, they are hard to Log&Transfer them to your FCP for fluent editing. Some problems occurred while transferring Canon XA25 MTS videos to FCP 7/X

Situation One: Only audio is ingested by FCP, the picture is gray out

Possible Reason:
1: Users may just load single MTS files to FCP without entire AVCHD folder including .cpi, .mpl files from camcorder.
2: AVCHD Videos recorded in 1080 50/60p are non-standard for FCP.

Situation Two: FCP crashes unexpectedly after clicking import button

Possible Reason:
1: Computer configuration is too lower to afford the rewrapping process of AVCHD to MOV in FCP.

From above analysis, we can easily find that editing Canon XA25 MTS videos in FCP directly is not so simple. Fortunately, there is an easy way for you to fix the issues.
